How to get the best EMI rate on a luxury car in India — a complete guide for 2024.

Banks, NBFCs, and dealership finance desks all quote different rates. Here's how to compare and negotiate the best deal on your luxury car loan.

How to get the best EMI rate on a luxury car in India — a complete guide for 2024.

Luxury car finance in India has changed dramatically in the last three years. With repo rates stabilising, banks like HDFC, ICICI, and Axis are now offering rates as low as 9.25% p.a. for used luxury car loans — if you know how to negotiate.

The key is your CIBIL score. A score above 750 gives you significant negotiating power. Banks will compete for your business. Below 700, you'll typically pay 2–3% more in annual interest, which adds up to lakhs over a 5-year tenure.

Always compare the flat rate versus the reducing balance rate. Most dealerships quote the reducing balance rate (which is standard), but some NBFCs quote flat rates that look lower but work out significantly more expensive. At Car Addiction, all finance quotes are on reducing balance — always.

Consider your tenure carefully. A 60-month (5-year) EMI on a ₹80 Lakh car at 9.5% with 20% down works out to approximately ₹1.33 Lakh per month. Extending to 84 months drops the EMI to ₹1.09 Lakh but adds ₹8+ Lakh in total interest. Our EMI calculator lets you model this instantly.

Our finance desk at Car Addiction gets pre-approval from 6 partner banks simultaneously — so you get the best rate without hurting your CIBIL score with multiple hard enquiries. One application, one credit pull, multiple offers.
